Lawton, Okla._Two people were rescued from a house fire Friday morning in Altus. According to a witness, fire crews were called to a home near Blain Street and Bradford Avenue shortly after 6:00 a.m.
A witness says crews were able to pull a man and woman from the burning home before it erupted further into flames. The two were rushed to Jackson County Memorial Hospital. The witness says they also rescued a few pets trapped inside.
We've made several calls to Altus fire officials, but no word yet on what caused the blaze or the conditions of the people inside when it sparked.
