Update: Sonnier homicide

Lubbock, TX - Today prosecutors and attorneys will be discussing a possible plea deal in a homicide case involving a local man.

Thomas Michael Dixon, a physician from Amarillo is facing capital murder charges for the death of Doctor Joseph Sonnier III, of Lubbock.

The love-triangle murder occurred last July when Dixon supposedly hired another man, David Neal Shepard to kill Sonnier because he was dating Dixon's ex-girlfriend.

More negotiations are set for January 24th to discuss the case against Shepard.
