Black ice to blame for rollover

LAWTON Okla_ A woman behind the wheel of a pickup got the bad end of a patch of black ice.

Witnesses said the accident happened at around 8:00 Thursday in front of the Christian Center near the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Sheridan Road. It appeared the black ice had come from the center's sprinkler system which had been on overnight. Some of the water ended up in the road and froze.

The driver hit the patch of ice, spun out, flipped and ended up on its top.

She was taken to the hospital but has been released.
