Car Crashes Into Marlow Restaurant

Posted: Updated:

MARLOW Okla_ Minutes before the lunch rush Thursday, a pick-up truck crashed into a restaurant in Marlow.

Witnesses say the truck was traveling down West Main Avenue a little after 11:00 when it turned onto North Broadway and slammed into the front of the building near the cash register.

"I first thought something blew up," restaurant owner Brenda Thurber said "It was so loud. Then, when I looked up, I heard breaking glass."

Luckily, the restaurant's staff was in the back, preparing for the high school students to come in for the lunch rush. No customers were inside at the time.

One child passenger in the truck was taken to the hospital by his mother. No one else was injured.
