Lawton Students Exhibit Their Artwork at Brookridge

Posted: Updated:

Lawton, Okla_Some Lawton students showed off their artistic skills today for a good cause.
They held an art show at Brookridge Retirement Community with all of the proceeds going to the Lawton Food Bank.

Admission to the show was one food item. The event allowed young artists from Woodland hills and Eisenhower Middle School to display their unique pieces. It helped out the food bank and gave the residents of Brookridge something fun to do.

Angela Ellis, the Brookridge Marketing Specialist, said "They love children and they love art work and it's just a community wide event. So they're happy, the art program is being promoted and the Lawton Food bank is getting their shelves filled."

The art display was also a great opportunity for the students interested in becoming artists.  It gave them a taste of what a real art show would be like.
