Red Cross sends another volunteer to NYC for Sandy cleanup

Posted: Updated:

The Red Cross relief effort continues following Superstorm Sandy and the Texas Panhandle Chapter is continuing to do its part in assisting the victims by sending another volunteer up north to help.

Saturday morning, Texas Panhandle American Red Cross volunteer Martha Riddlespurger deployed to New York City to assist in the Individual Client Services group/Recovery, Planning and Assistance/Supervisor. Riddlespurger will volunteer in New York City for the next two or three weeks before returning home.

Since Hurricane Sandy, two chapters in the Texas Panhandle have sent 14 volunteers up north to help with relief efforts.
