Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._

Police said they would not be investigating a drive- by shooting that sent one Lawton man to the hospital Saturday night.

Police said a male shooting victim showed up at a local hospital after he had been shot in the hand.

The victim told police he had been walking home from this gas station at Sheridan Road and Northwest 28th Street around 8:30 p.m. when a dark car approached him.

The victim told police several people inside called him over when they suddenly opened fire.

Police said a passerby witnessed the shooting and rushed the man to the hospital, but because the victim was not cooperative and refused to press charges, the investigation had been dropped.
