The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting a deadly weekend for two Texoma drivers.
The first accident happened in Caddo County on US 62, southeast of Anadarko. Troopers say 66-year Hicks Boyiddle II of Anadarko suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel when he ran off the road. They say he hit a ditch and fence before coming to a stop in a field.
Boyiddle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was taken to Comanche county memorial in fair condition.
In Grady County, troopers say alcohol and speed may have played a role in another deadly crash. This one happened on State Highway 19 near Bradley.
OHP says 58-year-old Gregory Yates of Alex went off the road for an unknown reason and rolled three times before hitting a tree. They say Yates did not have a seatbelt on and was thrown out of the truck during the first roll. He was pronounced dead at the scene with massive injuries.
Troopers list odor of alcohol and unsafe speed as factors in the crash.
