Amarillo, TX - A Midland woman is being charged with aggravated assault after allegedly ramming her vehicle into a patrol car and trying to run over an Amarillo police officer.

20-year-old Natasha Ramirez was booked into the Potter County jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

On Saturday, Ramirez reportedly stole a van left running outside the motel where her boyfriend was being arrested and drove it into a patrol car.

Officers say she then proceeded to drive forward, hitting a large natural gas pipe before turning around and driving back toward the officer.
