Lawton police officer uses patrol car to stop chase

Lawton- A driver was booked in the Lawton jail early Tuesday morning after police say he led officers on a car chase.
They tried to stop him for a traffic violation near Sheridan and E Avenue around 1 a.m. Police say the driver took off into the neighborhood west of Sheridan and then doubled back. An officer used a patrol car to stop him and took the man into custody on several complaints including eluding.
Police tell 7NEWS the patrol car only suffered minor damage.
