One injured in motorcycle wreck on S. Ross

Amarillo, Texas - A motorcycle accident in east Amarillo Wednesday morning critically injures one person. 

Police say it happened around 7:30 in the 2300 block of S. Ross street near the U.S. Post Office.
  
They say the rider of the motorcycle swerved to avoid a truck and slid on his side for close to 150 feet.

The rider is identified as 55 year old Douglas King.

The APD Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the accident. APD says no charges have been filed at this time.
