Prairie Building to get much-needed upgrade

Posted: Updated:

Lawton_The Prairie Building at the Comanche County Fairgrounds is getting a badly-needed upgrade.

Monday morning, the Comanche County Commissioners approved nearly $23,000 in funds to replace the building's heating and air conditioning system. Fairgrounds Executive Director Phil Humble says one of the rooms in the building only has one unit working.

He says that system was installed in the 1980's and is too old to be repaired. He hopes to have the new system installed within the next month.
