Earning thousands of dollars a week while working from home may sound appealing. But the Better Business Bureau says in many cases it's not something you want to commit to.
The BBB says they've received many phone calls from area residents reporting they've been targeted. People are asked to receive items at home, repackage them, and then ship them to another country.
Janna Kiehl, Amarillo BBB President says, "They really just want to use you to get the merchandise to them to another country, where they sell it on the street. Or they try to capitalize, make money off of those items."
The BBB says the items in the package are usually bought with stolen credit cards. And you're home address ends up being the only point of contact.
It's taking money away from the local economy and you're not getting cash out of it.
