Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sara is a big fan of her home state. She joined KSWO in January of 2013 and is thrilled to be reporting in Lawton. Graduating from the University of Tulsa in 2009, Sara obtained Bachelor's Degrees in both Communications and Education.

After three years of teaching high school English, she decided it was time to pursue her passion. Sara took a job in August 2012 at Fox23 in Tulsa as an associate producer. A month later, she was asked to fill in for a sick reporter. That's when she knew that reporting was for her. By the time she left Fox for KSWO, she was filling in as either a reporter or producer much of the time.

Sara is a family girl through and through. She met her husband Jody at TU, as they were both college athletes there. Sara played softball, and Jody played football for the Golden Hurricane. They married in June 2009. When she isn't working, Sara loves to run. She has now run 4 marathons and 5 half marathons. She actually recorded a personal best at the Spirit of Survival half last year and looks forward to running it again!

Sara would love to hear from you! If you have any story ideas, thoughts or questions, shoot her an e-mail at swhaley@kswo.com.
