Routine Traffic Stop Uncovers Large Amount of Marijuana

LAWTON, Okla._

A Lawton man was jailed Saturday night after police allegedly uncovered a large amount of marijuana in his car.

Police arrested Xavian Pierre after police stopped him for illegal window tint.

Police said when officers approached his car they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle. Inside, police found a large bag of marijuana and several individually wrapped baggies of the drug.

Police also found a gun.

Pierre is facing several charges including possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during a felony.
