Child dies after being run over in driveway

Amarillo, TX - A two year old child is dead after being run over by a vehicle driven by his mother.

Amarillo police responded to the 3100 block of South Fairfield Street at 11:00 Saturday morning.  

The child had been run over by a Chevy SUV as it backed out of a driveway.  

Police report the driver of the SUV is the mother of the child.

The accident is under investigation.
