State Worker Pay Raises Not in Governor Fallin's Budget

Lawton- Some Oklahoma state workers are disappointed after learning Governor Mary Fallin's budget does not include a pay raise for them.
Instead, she is calling for a $200,000 study to look at their pay with the goal of moving to a performance-based compensation system. It will look at what private businesses are paying workers for similar jobs.
Fallin unveiled her budget during the annual state of the state address at the capitol. Oklahoma's 34-thousand state employees have not had an across-the-board pay raise since 2006. House democrats are criticizing the governor's plan.
