LPS schedules public forums for new superintendent search

LAWTON Okla_ The Lawton Board of Education is asking for the public's help as they begin the process to replace retiring superintendent Barry Beauchamp.
The district has scheduled a series of forums Monday, February 11th so citizens can offer their input. Board members want to hear from people, regardless if they have kids who attend LPS. The forums will take place at the Shoemaker Center Auditorium at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The board hopes to name a new superintendent in April before Beauchamp's retirement in the summer.
