Moore County Hospital's high Medicare ranking

Posted: Updated:
Moore County, TX - Congratulations are in order for the Moore County Hospital District as they are dubbed world-class when it comes to quality care.

Last month marked the Federal government's most extensive effort yet to hold hospitals financially accountable for what happens to their patients.

MCHD ranked 12th in the nation according to Medicare who gives bonuses and penalties for hospitals nationwide as it ties payments to the quality of care received.

Of 9 hospitals in the Texas panhandle region only 4 performed in the bonus category as they received the highest "value based purchasing" score overall.
