Oklahoma Teacher Certification Sessions

Posted: Updated:

Lawton,Okla_Another session of Oklahoma's American Board met Wednesday at Lawton Public Library. Their program allows people to get their Oklahoma Teaching Certification quicker.
It's designed for adults who are interested in transitioning into the teaching field.

One attendee showed up eager to find out how she could fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. Marcia Brown said, "I've always had this calling to work with children and to become a teacher...I didn't want to go back to school to get a whole teaching degree, but I still wanted to get into the teaching field. So I decided to come out and find out about their programs."

If you missed out today, there will be another session Thursday evening in Chickasha at the public library at 4:30 and 6:30. There will also be another session in Lawton February 27th.
All dates are listed on their website at www. abcte.org.
