Sentencing delayed for former Amarillo orthodontist

Amarillo, TX - Sentencing has been delayed for former Amarillo orthodontist, Dr. Michael Goodwin.

He pleaded guilty back in December to federal Medicaid fraud charges and is now scheduled to be sentenced on April 4th of this year.

In his plea agreement, he admitted to filing false Medicaid claims at different offices, including his office in Amarillo near I-40 and Western.

The fraud cases totaled 2.6 million dollars.
