Suspected thief caught with stolen goods in moving truck

Posted: Updated:

Comanche County_A Lawton man is behind bars after deputies discovered stolen items in the back of a moving truck he was driving.

Authorities arrested Carroll Wilson Wednesday morning, after deputies were called to a home near New Hope Road and SW 82nd Street on reports of a break-in.

Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley says once deputies arrived, they discovered the front door had been kicked in and several items missing from the home.

Stradley says upon finishing up their investigation, someone passing by pointed out a moving truck stuck on the side of the road about a half-mile away.

Stradley says authorities made contact with the driver, who had no ID on him at the time, but was eventually identified as Wilson.  Stradley says authorities searched Wilson and found marijuana.
They later searched his truck and found items matching the description of those taken from the home.

Wilson is charged with second-degree burglary.
