One person injured in north Amarillo house fire

Amarillo, TX - One person is injured in a house fire in north Amarillo Friday morning.

The Amarillo Fire Department responded to the house in the 4600 block of Angelus just after 10:00 Friday  morning.

They say five trucks responded to the blaze and had it under control within minutes.

One occupant was injured as he tried to climb out of a window of the home to avoid the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
