Trial of accused child killer to begin Monday in Lawton

Posted: Updated:

Lawton_It's taken almost two years but jury selection is set to begin Monday at the Federal Courthouse in Lawton for the murder trial of a former Fort Sill soldier.

Former Private Connell Williams is charged with first-degree murder, accused of murdering his girlfriend's 10-year-old son. He's accused of starving him to death at their house on Fort Sill.
Prosecutors are asking for the death penalty.

Williams and the child's mother, Candice Holloway, allegedly deprived the boy of food for months until he starved to death. Holloway has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder as part of an agreement in which she will serve 30 years in federal prison and testify against Williams.
