Comanche Co. Courthouse Cafe Reopening

Posted: Updated:

COMANCHE CO., Okla_ The cafe in the Comanche County Courthouse will be back in business in the next few weeks, and the new tenant is a local favorite.

Central District Commissioner Johnny Owens announced that Lulu's Coffee and Bagel, located on northwest Cache Road in Lawton, will be opening a second location at the courthouse. He said the cafe will get a complete makeover, with an Alaskan style decor.

The announcement came a little over a month after the previous cafe unexpectedly shut down after 6 months of business. Owens said he believes Lulu's will create a boost in revenue for the courthouse budget.

The county has had problems in the past with other cafes not being able to break even financially.
