Cotton County voters approve E-911 fees

Undated_Cotton County voters approved two propositions Tuesday that will help pay for an enhanced 911 system. Proposition 1 established a 50-cent monthly fee on cell phones. It passed 547-to-72. The second put a fee on land lines, and it passed, 496-to-131.

Among the school board races decided Tuesday, incumbent Arthur Patrick was re-elected to his seat on the Great Plains Technology Center Board of Education. He beat Bruce Bomgardner, 854-267.

There were two seats on the Walters City Council on the ballot.  Ward 4 incumbent David Mitchell beat Kenneth Potts 63-12.
For Ward 2, Bob Nance beat Rick Hatfield, 39-25.
