Lawton's Citizen of the Year

Lawton, Okla_Tuesday evening at the City Council Meeting, one of Lawton's brightest stars was recognized for her charitable contributions to the community.

Daisy Perez was honored as outstanding citizen of the year for her 19 years of service to the children and teens of our community. Perez was honored with a certificate and a speech from Mayor Fitch called her "an enthusiastic and hard working member of the Lawton/Fort Sill community and her generosity has helped make Lawton a desirable place to live." 

Perez has a special connection to the 7 News family as well. She is the mother of Sylvia Perez, a former on-air personality here at 7 News. Congratulations, Daisy. Thanks for your service.
