Posted: Updated:

Lawton, Okla._A suspect is facing prison time for attempting to sell a stolen gun back to it's owner.

According to an affidavit, 25-year-old Thomas Edgar Campbell posted a gun on a website called armslist.com.

Investigators say, the owner was searching the site last Saturday and saw the gun which had been stolen from his house.

They say the victim contacted the Lawton Police Department and met Campbell in a parking lot on northwest Cache Road. When police arrested Campbell, he claimed a friend had given him the gun and he had no idea that it was stolen.

He is charged with knowingly concealing stolen property.
