ELK CITY, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities in Elk City have arrested a 26-year-old man after his mother was found shot to death in her home.

Police Chief Eddie Holland says officers responded to a shooting at about 10 a.m. Wednesday at a home in Elk City. Holland says Aaron Mitchell Stigelman ran naked from the home into an alley and refused to comply with officers' commands to lie down on the ground.

The police chief says officers used a Taser to subdue Stigelman. Once inside the home, officers discovered the body of Stigelman's mother, 56-year-old Karen Stigelman.

The Daily Elk Citian reports (http://is.gd/nnPd0K ) that police recovered a handgun and semi-automatic rifle from the home.

Aaron Stigelman remains in police custody. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
