Area residents aboard Carnival cruise ship

Posted: Updated:

Amarillo, TX - We've learned that at least five area residents are on board the stranded Carnival cruise ship.

The owner of the McDonalds in Borger tells us his area supervisor Carol Schuffert and manager Jenneane Embers are passengers on the boat.

The owner of the McDonalds in Dumas says two of his managers are also passengers.

We're told hundreds of McDonald's employees had won a Coca-Cola incentive award in which the cruise was included.

Also on board the boat is the daughter of Kirk Hill, owner of Hill's Sports Shop.

He says after not speaking to his daughter since Monday, he was able to today and was relieved.
