Lawton Woman Convicted of Stealing from her Company

Posted: Updated:

Lawton,Okla_A Lawton woman was convicted Thursday of stealing thousands of dollars from the  company where she worked.
Brooke Secoy was the former office manager of Nurse Finders, a temporary nurse job finding agency in Lawton.  Prosecutors say starting in September 2010, she wrote third party checks made payable to nurses for services they did not perform.

She would then forge the nurse's signature and later cash the check.  This scam went on for about five months.

One of the nurses whose name she forged became suspicious once her W-2 showed she was making more money than she actually did. The employee told management and the company's investigation led back to Secoy.

She  is expected to be sentenced in April.
