Dragging Bumper Uncovers Drive-by Shooting

Lawton police are investigating an overnight drive-by shooting in northwest Lawton that was uncovered after a driver was spotted dragging his bumper down the roadway.

When the driver was stopped on Northwest Sheridan Road the driver told police he was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

He said during the shooting, he crashed the back of his car into a building and took off. Police found four bullet holes in the passenger side of his car and shell casings in the parking lot.

Police believe the shooting happened in a parking lot in the 25-hundred block of Northwest Sheridan just after 11:00 p.m.

No suspects have been identified.
