DURANT, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an 11-year-old Durant boy is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Bryan County.

Authorities say the crash happened Sunday afternoon on a county road south of Blue in Bryan County. A preliminary report says 28-year-old Clyde Powell was driving an SUV carrying six passengers when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a fence and a tree.

Authorities say Powell and all six passengers were ejected from the vehicle.

The highway patrol says 11-year-old Joseph Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old girl and a 33-year-old woman are both in critical condition at a Plano, Texas, hospital. Authorities say Powell and the remaining passengers are in stable condition at area hospitals.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
