Hereford, TX - An area resident remains in critical condition after being injured at work.
It happened Friday night during a routine cleaning operation within the Tejas Industries cannery facility in Hereford.
We're told an employee was seriously injured when a piece of machinery inadvertently started as it was apparently not locked-out properly.
He was airlifted to Northwest Texas Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
The company is currently working with government agencies to address the incident.
Operations at the facility have resumed and an investigation is underway.
