DUNCAN, Okla_ Duncan police said
the fire that burned down Duncan's Foursquare Gospel Church
was not arson.
They said they
have wrapped up their investigation and believe the fire was caused by a faulty
gas line. The state still has yet to release what its investigators have found.
Police say they
believe the fire was caused by a gas line coming from the furnace, and the pilot
light set it off. They said they reached their conclusion after studying the
fire pattern that was most intense in the area surrounding the gas lines.
The church was destroyed Monday morning, just weeks after its
congregation had moved out of the building and put it up for sale.
