Amarillo, TX - TxDOT tells us on I-40 there's difficult driving conditions from mile marker 300 to mile marker 339 (Newkirk to Tucumcari airport).

Also, from mile marker 339 to mile marker 373 (Tucumcari airport to Texas state line).

On US54, there's difficult driving conditions from mile marker 305 to mile marker 355 (Tucumcari to Texas state line)

Conditions include heavy snowfall, as well as ice and slush on roads.

Amarillo police tell us since midnight until around 8:30 Thursday morning, they've responded to 20 wrecks.

Most of them are considered fairly minor.
