Lawton Elementary School Receives Donation

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON Okla_ Lawton's Pat Henry Elementary school is $2,000 to the good today.

The hefty check is thanks to the Lawton Noon Lions Club. The money is from the club's biggest fundraiser: The May Carnival.

Noon Lions Club Vice President Jennifer Robinette said the money can be used for the school's clothing closet, field trips, and more. The school's principal, Jackie Herbert said they are grateful.

"We're having to use activity money for basic school supplies, the basic needs of our kids," Herbert said.

Herbert said every one of their 585 students wrote a "Thank You" note to the Noon Lions Club today.
