LAWTON, Okla._
An apartment tenant was rescued from her burning apartment Sunday morning and fire investigators are still looking for the cause.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Landings Apartments at 12th and "C" Avenue just before 7:00 a.m. where they found an apartment on fire.

When police arrived they found a woman inside sitting on the floor rocking back and forth as her apartment burned.

Firefighters pulled the woman from her burning apartment, where she sustained severe burns. She was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but fire investigators have ruled out electrical malfunction. Damage was isolated to the one apartment and estimated at $40,000.
