United First Partners LLC ("UFP"), a leading independent brokerage and part of the United First Partners Group which provides independent brokerage and research services is expanding its equity product offering by launching a dedicated U.S. equity derivatives effort. The new unit will target UFP's existing institutional clientele, broadening the firm's presence in the North American region and building upon the opening of its New York office last year.

UFP is uniquely positioned to combine the Group's in-depth special situations equity research with event driven volatility analysis to support client's investment needs across the equity and derivatives market. UFP will differentiate itself by delivering competitive options pricing and execution, utilizing its diverse sources of liquidity to maximize market depth and minimize price impact. The new equity derivatives effort will be led by Nimit Savani and Andrew Rosen.

Nimit Savani joined UFP with over 16 years of experience in equity derivatives and trading desk management. Prior to joining UFP, Mr. Savani was the Head of Derivatives Sales and Trading at Rodman and Renshaw, Head of Derivatives at Lighthouse Financial Group and Director of the Equities Derivatives Group at Louis Capital Markets. He was a Senior Equity Derivatives Trader at Tahoe Trading and Botta Capital Management, focused on volatility and dispersion portfolio management. Mr. Savani holds a B.Sc. in Monetary Economics from the London School of Economics.

Andrew Rosen has 15 years of experience trading and investing in special situation equities and equity derivatives.  Most recently, he managed an equity and volatility portfolio at Del Mar Asset Management. Prior to that, he managed event driven, healthcare and consumer single stock option books for Citigroup and Merrill Lynch where he both advised clients on option market mispricing's of event driven risk and invested the firm's capital in these opportunities. Mr. Rosen earned a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
