Thousands with power outages during blizzard

Amarillo, TX - There are 1,008 Xcel Energy customers in Amarillo without power right now and around 400 in New Mexico.

Crews are about to restore power to about 200 customers in the Estacado area.

In New Mexico, most of the outages are in Clovis. Restoration efforts are starting to gain momentum.

Wes Reeves with Xcel says they have had approximately 4,000 impacted by this storm since 8 p.m. Sunday.
