Lawton, Okla._The fight to shut down the Platinum Club just west of Lawton took another step forward.
The "Stop the Violence" group filed a public nuisance claim Wednesday in Comanche County Court against the club's owner, Arthur Gaona.
The group had been circulating a petition in support of the claim, because of recent violence at the club. Court records show Judge Gerald Neuwirth was assigned to the case, but a hearing date has not yet been set.
