Toby Keith's bass guitarist dies in crash

Cleveland County, Okla-  Oklahoma country music superstar Toby Keith is remembering his band's bass guitar player after he was killed in a car crash.

Authorities say 54-year-old Carl "Chuck" Goff, Junior died Wednesday night following a two-car crash near Slaughterville. He was a well-known musician and credited with writing Keith's hits, "You ain't much fun" and "Upstairs downtown."

Toby Keith released a statement on his website saying he's deeply saddened and Goff was a close friend for over 25-years, as well as his band's leader.
