Altus Woman Displaced: Car Tears Through Home

 

ALTUS, Okla._
An Altus woman is being cared for by the American Red Cross after a car tore through her home early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the home near 13th and "F" Avenue after a car came crashing through the front of the house around 3:00 a.m.

Witnesses said the woman luckily was not injured but had to leave her house since it could no longer be secured.

They said once the car was pulled out a huge hole in the brick hole was too large to be patched. At last check the driver of the car ran off and has not been found.

    According to radio traffic, multiple RV/camper's have flipped at Lake Lawtonka as storms have rolled through the area.
    The call came over the scanner just before 7 this morning.
