New Life House's structured sober living facilities recently celebrated a reported sobriety success rate of over 80% from a study taken from each of their sober livings. This sobriety success rate represents its members’ first 5 years of sobriety as of January 2013.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 04, 2013

A close-knit network of structured sober living homes for men, New Life House opened its doors more than 25 years ago. The winning combination of structure and long-term support that are the staples of New Life House's recovery model are driving factors in their remarkably high sobriety success rates. New Life House tracks all of its members for the first 5 years of their sobriety to ensure that the numbers reported for their studies are correct. The following percentages represent the sobriety success rates of New Life House for each age group:

18-20 year olds: 84% are still sober after 5 years
20-23 year olds: 88% are still sober after 5 years
23-32 year olds: 81% are still sober after 5 years

Another part of New Life House's success is due in part to the peer-orientated philosophy that the sober livings operate under. There are three separate sober livings that make up the New Life House network; Reality House, Miracle House, and New Life House. New Life House is designated for young men ages 18-20, Reality House is for men 20-23 years old, and Miracle House's members range in age from 24 to early 30’s. This specific age grouping is done in order to foster a connection among the house members so they can easily empathize and identify with one another. New Life House has found time after time that being close in age allows the men to connect on a deeper level.

New Life House strives for more than just abstinence from drugs and alcohol. They understand that long-term, quality sobriety depends on addressing and treating the underlying issues which contribute to an individual’s inability to live a sober, successful life. The men in the houses learn to identify these personal challenges and are taught positive skill sets and processing tools to aid them in living healthfully. “The success rates at each of our houses have always been high. We’re very proud of the young men and their dedication towards their recovery. We teach healthy lifestyles in our houses; coupled with both peer and family support, the framework of a successful recovery is established for them to build on,” states the Director of New Life House, Michael Joly.

Most members of the New Life House network reside in the sober living homes anywhere from 12-18 months. Upon graduation from the house, the graduates continue to stay connected to the New Life House network and peer-based community. They remain local and live independently with a sober roommate who has also graduated from New Life House. Graduates are encouraged to attend house meetings and visit on a regular basis. It is this type of extended support that greatly bolsters the successful sobriety rate of New Life House.
