Philadelphia Fundraising Workshop at Indy Hall Focuses on Strategies for Charitable Giving
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) March 04, 2013
The EHL Consulting Group’s popular monthly workshop series, “Dollars Making Sense,” has grown to over 100 members since its founding in October 2012, and shows no signs of slowing down. Hosted by Avrum D. Lapin, Director and Senior Partner of the Philadelphia fundraising firm, the membership-based group brings together nonprofit executives and fundraising leaders from the Greater Philadelphia Area for a monthly interactive workshop and networking opportunity at the popular co-working space, Indy Hall.
“Many of the topics that we cover are aimed at educating both development professionals in the beginning of their careers, as well as providing new strategies for veteran nonprofit leaders,” Lapin explains. “This month’s topic is especially important, as many nonprofits, even high-functioning ones with long histories, fail to prioritize planned giving and endowment management within their annual fundraising plans.”
March’s free workshop, “Planned Giving & Endowments: Have No Fear!” will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Independents Hall (Indy Hall), located at 22 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. The first half hour will be dedicated to nonprofit networking, and there will be an open-forum question and answer session following the presentation. The workshop is being offered free-of-charge via online registration: http://www.ehlconsulting.com/contact-us/meetups/
Topics for March’s workshop will cover a range of planned giving and endowment strategies, and include:
“It can be difficult for nonprofit leaders to focus on long-term fundraising strategies when so many immediate operational needs demand those dollars,” notes Lapin. “What we want to communicate is that planned giving and endowment strategies can be implemented in small steps, which yield big results down the road.”
