Accused Embezzler's Trial Begins

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON Okla_ The trial of an accused embezzler is now underway in a Comanche County courtroom.

Rebecca Hall is accused of stealing over $37,000 from her former employer, Pro Team Harley Davidson. Hall was the office manager of the company from 2005 to 2009. The company fired her after it said it noticed some discrepancies in their finances.

Hall's trial date has been continued several times. The last trial scheduled last September was delayed at her request, because her father was dying.

Then, Hall opted for a non-jury trial back in January. Hall faces seven counts of embezzlement. Each charge is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Hall was initially accused of stealing over $400,000, but she is only being prosecuted for $37,000.

She's pleaded not guilty.
