Early morning car-jacking at Toot-N-Totum

Amarillo police are on the lookout for a man who stole a car from the Toot 'N Totum at I-40 and Grand Thursday morning.

Just before 6:00 Thursday morning the suspect approached a man filling up his car and demanded his wallet and keys.

Police do believe the suspect was armed but no one was hurt. The suspect got away with the car and police say that may not be his first crime of the day.

20 minutes before that car car-jacking a man got away with cash from the Toot 'N Totum on northeast 24th Street and Dumas Highway.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

After reviewing security footage Police say the suspect is a hispanic man with a slim build about 5' 3".

He was wearing a white shirt and jeans.
