Oklahoma unemployment cuts

Oklahoma - Unemployment benefits are poised to take a major hit in Oklahoma.

Officials say federal budget cuts are forcing a reduction in federal emergency unemployment compensation payments.

That means federal payments to the jobless will be reduced by 10.7% starting March 31st..

There is no word yet on whether or not similar cuts will affect those living in Texas and New Mexico.
