CPS investigating why 3 year old child was walking unattended in road

Dumas TX - Dumas police tell us they were dispatched to the 1300 of East 7th in reference to a found child.
An investigation disclosed that a 3 year old child was walking unattended in the roadway after leaving a residence where the adult caretaker had passed out after consuming a large amount of alcohol.
Child Protective Services was contacted and an investigation has been initiated for child endangerment.
