Traffic stop ends with drug arrest

Lawton, Okla._A routine traffic stop ended with a drug arrest in Lawton Monday night.

According to an affidavit, a highway patrol trooper stopped a pickup truck for failing to signal on Cache Road.

The trooper said the driver and his passenger, Michael Price, appeared to be nervous. During a search, the trooper found a sawed-off shotgun and ingredients to make methamphetamine. The trooper also found out that the truck was stolen.

Price and the driver were both arrested. Price is facing up to life in prison on charges of possession of items used to manufacture drugs.

Court records show a case has been opened against the driver but no word on what charges he may face.
